I appreciate the guest post, Marian Combs
As a stay-at-home mom, I have the television on a lot. I’m not necessarily watching it but I keep it on for background noise, especially while the kids are at play school or napping. My favorite thing to watch now that we have satellite television from http://www.DirectStarTV.com/ is cooking shows. I get lots of good ideas for things to make and don’t have to worry that what is on might be inappropriate in case the little ones are listening. One type of cooking show I have been looking for but haven’t found is one about cooking meals for babies and kids. With the new trend towards make it yourself and at home baby foods, you would think someone would have a cooking show centered around this. I made all the kids baby foods myself from fresh ingredients using a steamer and food processor. It was all really basic one ingredient items. As they got older, I found myself searching online for ideas of what foods to combine—looking for recipes, I guess you could say. Imagine if there were a show so people could see how easy and inexpensive it can be to do it yourself!
