My cats love cheese. I’ve read that you should not feed a lot of dairy products to your cats (it gives them diarrhea), but I do give them little bits of it. When I feel like giving the cats some cheese, I say “do you want some… Cheeeeese?” in a high pitched voice. They were picky at first- eating only one or two kinds of cheese, but now they seem to have really opened up to the world of queso. Queso is one of the words we use to say cheese when we don’t want to make the cats go crazy. We also say fromage.
The other day, we bought a cheese shredder for the cats… if you’ve eve been to Olive Garden, then you’ve seen one of these- you put the cheese in one side, spin the lever and shredded cheese comes out a hole in the middle. It is every bit as sexy as it sounds. Apparently my cats feel the same, because the day after I bought this thing my cat gave me a high five. My cat stood up on her hind legs and put her paw in my hand. Now if only I could train her to give me high fives on a more regular basis, that would be some real youtube material.
