26.Sep.2009 Cats, Sheets And Parasites, Oh My!

I don’t know what it is about sheets, but they make cats go nuts! Whenever I make my bed, my cat gets under there and starts acting all crazy. I suppose it’s like an instant cave for them. They way they run around, they create enough static electricity to turn any blanket into an electric blanket .

Another cat thing- I just read about this crazy cat parasite that effects the brains of it’s host. The parasite is called Toxoplasma Gondii and they say that half of the world is infected with it! Apparently, it can’t live in humans for long, and cats that don’t get out much probably don’t have it, so you can rest easy. It does make mice want to hang around cats, though. Crazy!
